Edward Pressler

• Edward J. Gorman, a former city Sheriff of Norfolk, was the great uncle of Edward Pressler. Mr Gorman passed on a Jamestown Exposition Preferred Stock certificate, #123 issued in November 1906, for two shares. This certificate commemorates the 300th Anniversary of the first permanent settlement of English speaking people in America, made on Jamestown Island in 1607. Total capital stock $1,500,000, shares $100.00 each, Incorporated under the laws of the State of Virginia. This certificate lists one share at $32 and a second at $168.
