Joyce Ann Seidnitzer
- Book—given to her by a man who worked for the Daily Press and was stationed near Fort Monroe in the 1940s. First Annual Report of the Dixie Hospital and Hampton Training School for Nurses, 1892. It was supposed to have been burned with the other reports when they moved from the old building to Dixie Hospital. The staff there was trained at Hampton Institute. The book shows who donated what to the hospital, recorded births and deaths, and other hospital business. Whenever Ms. Seidnitzer approached Hampton Institute or Dixie Hospital about the book, they tried to get it back from her and destroy it. She believes it contains controversial or shocking information about the hospital and institute that they do not want to be made public.
